I've recently been working on an order featuring ladybugs!
I thought I'd show you the box that I made, because I've never seen anything like it before. A lot of the decorations are from the Stampin' Up set called Little Ladybug.
Its dimensions are 12x12cm with a depth of about 4.5cm.
Its basic form was made with two pieces of 12x12inch cardstock. White for the lid and black for the deeper part of the box.
The sides had two layers of card added, the first in white and the second in red. Inside the card has a layer of white card strengthening the base of the box.
The lid of the box has a black layer, which was die cut with the Stampin' Up Little Ladybug stitched trail die, and then decorations were added on the top.
The circular die cuts were added first, and then the flowers and leaves were added second. Some flowers and leaves were also added to the sides of the lower section.
Finally, some ladybug stamps were coloured with copic markers and then cut out. Two sit on the top and one is hiding in the bottom of the box, just for fun!
